Angelo State University in San Angelo, Texas, has announced the students achieving the Dean's List designation for the 2019 spring semester. To be eligible for the ASU Dean's List, full-time undergraduate students must maintain at least a 3.25 grade point average (GPA) on a 4.0 scale. Students have been named to the dean's list at James Madison University for the spring 2019 semester. Students who earn dean's list honors must carry at least 12 graded credit hours and earn a GPA of between 3.5 and 3.899.

A total of 11,406 students enrolled during the 2019 spring term at The University of Alabama were named to the Dean's List with an academic record of 3.5 or above or the President's List with an academic record of 4.0 (all A's). The UA Dean's and President's lists recognize full-time undergraduate students. The lists do not apply to graduate students or to undergraduate students who take less than a full course load.

Angelo State University conferred 820 undergraduate and graduate degrees on 814 graduates during its 2019 spring commencement exercises on May 11 in the ASU Junell Center/Stephens Arena in San Angelo, Texas. To that end, this organization promotes and provides opportunities for networking among individuals and groups to articulate mutual concerns and advance educational opportunities.

Angelo State University's student Trumpet Ensemble has been invited to perform at the annual Texas Music Educators Association (TMEA) Conference to be held Feb. 13-16 in San Antonio. The ASU Trumpet Ensemble members performing at the conference include: William DeForest, senior, San Angelo; (Joseph) Riley Jarabek, junior, San Angelo; Joseph Torres, sophomore, San Angelo; Christopher Barrera, freshman, Schertz; Nickolas Martinez, freshman, San Angelo; and Gabriel Munoz, freshman, Pflugerville. McMurry University has accepted the following students for entrance in fall 2018.

McMurry University senior defensive back Jordan Washington (Pflugerville, Texas/Hendrickson H.S.) earned first team All-National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) honors for the second-consecutive year, heading trio of War Hawks receiving post season honors from the organization. Gaining honorable mention accolades was senior offensive lineman Brycen Homer (Abilene, Texas/Abilene H.S.) and senior linebacker Jacob Ferguson (Schertz, Texas/Clemens H.S.).

McMurry University football has had five of its players receive post-season honors from the American Southwest Conference, it was announced by the league office today. Recognized for their efforts during the 2017 season were defensive back Jordan Washington (Pflugerville, Texas/Hendrickson H.S.), senior linebacker Jacob Ferguson (Schertz, Texas/Clemens H.S.), freshman linebacker Josh Smith (Bossier City, La./Airline H.S.), freshman wide receiver Justin Eaton (Spring Valley, N.Y./Brackenridge, Texas, H.S.) and senior return specialist/running back Kalieb Granger (Houston, Texas/Lamar Consolidated H.S.).
